This research aims to investigate and analyze the risks and investor interest in the High Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs). The method used is a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data presented according to reports from the Investment Alert Task Force (SWI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Research findings show that HYIP investment risks involve complex factors that can influence investors’ decisions. These factors include regulatory limitations, return uncertainty, and potential loss of capital. On the other hand, investor interest in HYIP schemes is influenced by expectations of high profits in a short time. The contribution of this research is to provide an in-depth understanding of the risk dynamics and motivations behind investor participation in HYIP investments. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for formulating better regulations and providing guidance for investors in managing risks in HYIP investments.
