This study explores the interplay of factors that influence students’ preference in choosing a senior high school strand, including academic interest, career aspirations, peer influence, parental guidance, and school resources and facilities, utilizing surveys to collect data from 244 senior high school students selected using stratified random sampling, employing a descriptive research design with mean and standard deviation to summarize demographic characteristics and responses to Likert scale items, and multivariate analysis of variance to investigate relationships between variables and identify significant trends in selecting strands, revealing that most students prefer strands aligned with academic interest followed by career aspirations, while individual variables such as Age, Sex, and Grade 10 General Average have no significant impact on the multivariate set of dependent variables, ultimately aspiring to improve educational strategies fostering engagement, satisfaction, and success in senior high school education, and offering insights to inform schools and administrators in supporting students during significant academic transitions.
